Providing Choices for Campers
If you’ve ever checked out our summer Events Calendar, you know we don’t just fill the summer with fun – we pack it to the brim! From exciting weekly themes and all-camp activities to creative dress-up days and epic parties, there’s always something new to look forward to. We keep the calendar buzzing to make sure every week feels fresh, fun, and full of adventure.
But it's not just about fun – we know kids thrive when they have structure and engaging activities. Our well-planned daily schedule helps channel their energy in positive ways while providing a comforting routine. When you pick up your camper at the end of the day, we hope they’re not only happily tired but also bursting with stories about their awesome day.
This summer, we’re changing things up by introducing two specialized camp experiences: Primary Camp and Intermediate Camp. Each group will enjoy activities tailored to their age and stage of development, just as usual. What’s changing is what happens at the end of their camp day.
Primary Camp: For our youngest adventurers, from preschool through completed third grade, Primary Camp offers a fun-filled, structured schedule to keep them engaged. Since younger kids often need a little more consistency, their days will follow familiar routines to help them feel secure and confident. At the end of each of their days is an exclusive Primary Camp swim time! It’s the perfect way to cool off, splash around, and wind down from an exciting morning. Plus, keeping the older kids separate during swim time makes the pool safer and more relaxing for everyone.
Intermediate Camp: For campers who have completed fourth through seventh grade, we’re introducing more freedom and choice. These kids are gaining independence, so we want to foster that by letting them choose their final afternoon activities. Each day, they can pick from a variety of options: joining a big game, diving into arts and crafts, practicing a skit for chapel, or simply unwinding with a quiet activity such as Legos, reading, or drawing. Some activities, like working on the chapel skit, might require a week-long commitment, but most allow campers to go with the flow and follow their interests each day.
Our goal is simple: to create an environment where every camper feels engaged, energized, and empowered. So get ready for a summer of laughter, learning, and lifelong memories. We can’t wait to see your camper this summer!
